the good thing about rubber bracelets is...
I had been avoiding buying one of those little rubber bracelets... damn you Lance Armstrong. Now they have them for everything, and everywhere you go someone's asking you to buy one for one worthy concept or another. At Applebees the other night, they even asked us if Todd and I wanted to buy them to support the Make-A-Wish foundation. I said no, cause they are too faddy and ultimately, pointless. Not to mention they were $2 a bracelet, so someone's getting a profit out of it.
However. When I got my HP book at Barnes and Noble, I got a free green rubber bracelet to go with it, stamped with the date of the book release and an owl.
I wore it for a day or two, and somehow Lina got ahold of it. And I'll be damned if it isn't the best cat toy, even better than milk tabs.
Amusements are being had by all.
