basically, to try and stop this big rape issue in south africa, this crazy lady has invented a condom-like device that women are supposed to wear inside of them. there are barbs inside that dig into the perps penis when he pulls out, and then he has to get the "rapex" surgically removed. check out this article.
in other news: i'm going home in a week. i can't wait to see the fam. and go to mikey's soccer tournament and work on my tan and spoon jojo and eat real food and have ac and spend 10 hours in the car with a breeze in my hair and my music blaring. i'm stopping in charlottesville on the way to see abe, and i'm both excited and nervous about that. mostly i'm excited about just getting out of this place for 4 days. 4 whole days.
