Let me beat the dead, decaying horse that is my weather obsession one more time--the weather is BEAUTIFUL!
This morning it was 54 degrees (f), I 'whooped' and the windows went up. Moving on---
Watched Ghost Hunters last night and it freaked me and Riley out a bit. They had been asked to investigate a home where an orphaned niece had moved in. The girl was having experiences and family said that they had witnessed a black figure like a shadow but it had density. No threatening feelings just startled and scared the girl a bit.
Now, the reason I like these guys is because they investigate in an attempt to debunk a 'haunting', and testify that about 80% of the reported hauntings can be attributed to natural phenomena or a simple misunderstanding of what is happening. I also appreciate that they drop everything when a child is involved, being a mom I know how pitiful it is to see a child frightened and wanting help.
Anyway, they did their usual thing of setting up their camera's and voice recorders and they caught a disturbing image of a dark, dense figure that seemed to rise from the floor, head first and continue to manifest until there was a rather clear profile of a female figure. It was freaky because it came together in a very unnatural way.
The sister of the dead woman felt sure it was/is her sister watching out for her child especially when she heard a recording of a female voice that sounded as if it said Chesney or Chestnut when some of the crew was asking who the entity might be. Unbeknownst to the crew, the dead woman's last name was Chesney and her pet name for her daughter was Chestnut.
Riley and I had a great time watching the show and it was a nice end to a day we had already spent getting our Halloween 'decorations' out of the attic. 'Kenna and I also watched the first season of Supernatural with Riley since she has just now discovered 'the Winchesters'. Riley's new motto is "I don't need no stinkin' education!"
There was a post in the fibromyalgia community about a group of postings that were made in another community about people claiming to have fibromyalgia. Seems that a thread got started about how one person made snide comments about fibromyalgia being a phony disease, and those of us that profess to have it should "...shutup and take an ibuprofen." It went on for a while, the usual thing with one person posting a hateful remark and then another person responding so on and so forth.
It comes down to this, someone made a hateful, uneducated remark about something that had nothing to do with themselves and the folks that the remark was made about caught wind and was deeply angered.
I'm not sure exactly when 'we' all decided that everyone of us has, not only a right but a civic duty to express our personal opinions about everything, but we need to stop. Now!
Now, I have a 17 year old standing at my shoulder staring at my head. I'm not sure what she is trying to do but I now believe I feel heat emanating from her eyes so -- I bid adieu.
