We finally heard from Carl's Uncle Chris, who worked at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS). Apparently he and his wife both made it out safely; she's in Texas, and he's in Atlanta.

The roads look fine from my 11th-floor perch, so I think I'll use today's snow day to get some chores done. Namely, grocery shopping and mailing BC books. I have three books ready to go, and the dent their absence makes on my bookshelf has been filled already. I just can't read fast enough. :o)

Mark and Molly are getting married today -- and as I look outside I see rain streaming down my window. Which wouldn't be a problem if the wedding were being held indoors. But it's not.
