Day 2 was Monday. An interesting day all round.
We slept late and got up and had a late breakfast then prepared to move out and explore the area.
Part way through the morning ritual my doctor called. My test results (not sure if I've mentioned or not but I've been having some trouble with my cycle -or lack thereof- and we've been testing to find out why) had come back. Turns out my testoserone levels are usually high. She didn't know why or what it meant, I had to wait for my obgyn to call. My cholestrol is also high, not dangerously so but it's still up there. I'm thinking it's probably something that runs in my family.
I was kinda upset but it's nothing I can't deal with and Kassey and Raya were really good about making me feel better.
So anyway, we needed to go to a gocery store to get supplies so we asked at the front desk where we could walk to but were told there was nowhere within walking distant. We decided to go for a walk anyway and see if we could find anything. About a mile or two down the road we found a WinnDixie.
So we bought our goceries then attempted to walk home with it all. It was rainning on a off and there was a lot to carry so eventually we gave up and took a trolley/cart and started pushing it down the road, having to stop and take shelter every now and then.
We finally got home and took so footage of "beautiful sunny florida" being not so beautiful and sunny. We bummed around, went up to the pool on the roof then came down, repared dinner and had a couple of glasses of wine. A couple of glasses being like 4 or 5 very large glasses (plus I had a very extra drinks but that's a secret).
So on a definate high we decided to take a walk down the main street and see if we could find some action. We been walking for a long time when we finally decided maybe we should give up and walk back home again. Right after turning around it started to rain pretty heavily so we made a run for shelter under one of the liveguard shacks. While sheltering I rang Jared and spoke to him a bit.
Our shelter turned out to not be much better than walking in the rain and the rain did let up a little so we made a move to keep going. As we were walking we came across a lot of people standing on the side of the road watching the waves. Some people were even trying to swim in it. Since the waves were raging it was clear to me at the time that these people would probably die. We kept walking.
A while later the waves had come so high that they were washing up over the beach, over a small wall, over the footpath and our feet and onto the road. It was all good. We stopped to rest then kept walking. Raya who had been hit hardest by the alcohol was propped between Kassey and I sleeping while we carried her along.
So eventually we looked up and there's a car driving along side us and it stops. The window comes down and there are two guys sitting there and they ask us if we want a lift. We weren't exactly thinking clearly, we were slightly drunk and very tired and the weather was bad. I asked if they were going to murder us and they said no, Raya asked if they were going to rape us and they said no (cause I'm sure they would've told us) and they seemed nice and there were two of them and three of us so we got in the car with me insisting to get in first.
They were perfectly nice. Answered all our drunken questions. Putting up with up lying about our age. Then took us home.
We sat and did camera interviews. I thought Lou was cute. Kassey thought Joe was cute. Raya had passed out and didn't care.
We went to bed.
And that was day 2.
