I Found the Perfect Desk -- Fundraiser

Mar 06, 2015 12:12

I found the perfect desk at the Milwaukee Restore this morning. It's big enough for art projects, has two small drawers for pencils and pens and the like, and instead of blocky drawers at both or one end, has legs like a table. It's covered with glass and is a beautiful walnut (the wood, not the stain). And there's the rub. Because it's old and ( Read more... )

I've put in a little. I hope you can raise the money before it sells. Hopefully being a decent size means it will not be snatched up quickly. I did it for karmic points (because the last week has been hell & I'm going to be starting the next week with having to admit to a mistake worth $12,000 which will have to go several levels up the food chain for approval for fixing--slight chance I might be able to dodge that one but really don't see a way to).

If you have the time, energy & inclination however, would you pick 1 card from your Susan Seddon Boulet deck for me? Don't spend much time on it, just something for me to ponder.

Oh, good luck with the work thing. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's hard when there's a big mistake that has to be fixed. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

It's no trouble at all to draw you a card. I'll go get the deck out and take care of that in just a bit.

As I shuffled the deck, Frog eagerly hopped out onto the table for you. The drawing is of a tiny, golden-brown frog pushing some sort of large ball. The ball may be meant to represent the moon, since that is associated with frogs, but in this picture, it reminds me of Sisyphus trying to roll a boulder up a mountain. You may be feeling you've bitten off more than you can chew.

Still, Frog is a strong totem, associated with water, creation, feminine energy, fecundity, and rebirth. The frog in this picture doesn't look at all like it feels overwhelmed or less than up to the task--in fact, it's almost doing a dance step. The solutions to your issues may not be obvious, but with creativity and determination, they are possible. Remember, water seems weak, but it carved the Grand Canyon.

Thank you. I'll keep this in mind as I go about my coming weeks especially. Next week is going to be full-on and that will maybe help me get through it a little easier.
