Uhm...(Doctor Who 5x5)
Is it just me or did the recent revelation in Doctor Who S5 really give us a loophole to canon complyingly retcon CoE?
I mean I guess that Steven went that way to resolve some plotholes as to the "What happened afterwards" Some of the Tenth Doctor storylines left. Humanity is really not that stupid to ignore each (almost) encounter through an alien aggressor.

What if the 456 never existed?
Just a thought... Amy would have probably mentioned the 456 to the Doctor if she had remembered them and the creepy synchro-children-soundspeaker thing.
Probably I'm just overthinking stuff, I don't know. Probably it doesn't even matter a lot as I am not confident that we're going to see Ianto on screen ever again but the happy shipper in me is curious.
