Chocolate Cake
Just had my share of the highly anticipated Chocolate Paradise cake i bought from Chocolat 'N' Spice at Shunfu Mart. Recommended by numerous magazines, the cake is basically a light chocolate mousse layer made of Valrhona chocolate from France on top of its hazelnut crunch base. No doubt very choco-licious, it falls short of my expectations by meagre margin. I would however attribute this to the excessive hyping surrounding it.
To strike a comparison, the All-Chocolate cake from Awfully Chocolate is a strong contender selling at SGD$20 per half KG as compared to SGD$24 for an 18cm (around half KG) Chocolate Paradise.
Despite all these, the cake is still exceptional and unique in itself. Definitely a sinful choice for sheer indulgence and immediate injection of endorphins.
