We had a gentleman just the other day, who was not blessed with the common sense or brains that God gave the common housecat and decided to flee from law enforcement officers into a federal testing reservation.
Article doesn't say it, but he fled directly into Eglin territory, where they were JUST about to drop a JDAM. Eglin graciously decided not to drop the munition.
Eventually he abandoned his vehicle (why? we don't know), and continued on foot - where Security Police with a K-9 eventually caught up with him.
He turned to fire his Olympic M4 at USAF Security Police (braiiiiins)... which jammed after 11 rounds. He had 40-someodd rounds returned at him, and was hit at least once in the abdomen.
Point is, clean and maintain your weapon.
