As if things were not complicated enough as the are, my characters kindly informed me some time while I was learning that they thought speaking German sucked and that they'd much rather have me let them speak English. Since then they have moved on to uttering only nonsense when forced to speak German, so what else was I supposed to do than comply with their polite request?
It is a happy coincidence that I treated myself to the Student's Dictionary of Collocations earlier today for mastering the written part of the chamber of commerce's translation exam yesterday.
Gotta go, now that my cast is allowed to speak the language they want, they won't stop talking at all ...
