life.

A single, unfathomable word that has everyone confused.
It's sad, it's happy
life is wonderful.
And I'm happy I have one.

Sometimes I think about my past self, how different I was four years ago, fresh from the simplicity of elementary school.
Last week I turned eighteen.
wow.
I can't believe I made it this far.
I was expecting to wake up feeling more mature and grown-up, maybe even a bit taller, you know? But that day, I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling... feeling exactly the same. I guess I was just happy to have woken up
to be alive.
But today it hit me,
I'm growing up.
I'm going to university in September.
Finally, I'm going to live my life on my own terms
something I've wanted for so long...
am i ready?
