Who do you love? 27: The War Machines
A thing to love about The War Machines: Ben! The pioneer of the concept that the male companion could be something other than stolid. Or middle-class.
(Interesting to note that Ben and Polly are the first companions, apart from Ian and Barbara, who we meet in their home environment. A whole story where they basically know what's going on roots their characters much more solidly than poor Steven or Dodo).
Also, after three years that have been frustratingly free of dead hoboes, it's good to see an initial exploration of this promising theme. A more thorough approach will require a Doctor with a frillier shirt of course.
