Coffee

My love for coffee started way back in my toddler-hood. Every Sunday morning, i would wake up to the fragrant aroma of coffee from the kitchen. Dad was the man behind the alluring scent and i would always demand to have some sips like most curious children do. As i grew older, sips became gulps and it eventually became a cup. Needless to say, I always look forward to Sunday mornings for coffee.

These days, the hunt for new coffee places brought me to Loysel's Toy and The Plain.

Loysel's Toy, a sister company of Papa Palheta, is a lovely cafe tucked away in Kampong Bugis. Getting there is a bit inconvinient as it's far from bus stop and train station. But the coffee is really worth traveling for. Cookie is yummy too!

The Plain serves Genovese coffee in any way you like and oz-style all day breakfast. I had a latte and Darling's Eggs (poached eggs with ham, cheese & roma tomatoes
on sourdough toast)! I superb love the coffee but food wise, it's pretty okay cept' for a small portion.

They ran out of desserts at The Plain, thus we adjourned to Pâtisserie Glacé for an Earl Gray Tiramisu and Mont Blanc.

Would definitely patron them again for good coffee. Like they say, life is too short for bad coffees.
