If you write or read fic or hate the idea of it, why?

I read fic all the time. I attempt to write fic but kinda give up on doing so sometimes. I love it because as much as pro-wrestling is a boy's game, it's still geared towards females a lot. I think moreso now than Attitude Era days. It kinda addresses issues the WWE won't talk about but seems implied... like m/m slash.

Do you consider it to be RPF (real person fiction) or do you see it like a character in a book or a play and validate the fiction that way?

It goes both ways for me. I see authors often saying, "This is the first time I've written CM Punk. Sorry if it's not that great." Or whoever. It seems real person enough to try & get it right.

If you make icons and/or write fiction how do see that as a fair use? Do you ever worry about copyright or how the wwe feels?

I think that if anything it's good for the WWE & promotes it. I worry every now & then about copywrights but I've never seen or heard of anyone take down a story because of WWE's copywright laws. I have with fanvids on youtube, but I think it's fair as long as you give credit where credit's due. I make art from things I see on TV, but not icons. Would I still have to credit WWE for that? There's not a lot of original ideas in art anymore & I have no problem saying this inspires me.

What is a line into that fandom world that you won't cross, one people do and you think they should?

I couldn't really think of anything. I think lines should be crossed, but I don't particularly enjoy Hardycest or "Brothers of Destruction" slash fic, if they are in fact written as brothers. You can ship 'em with just anybody, so why each other?

Do you see the fiction as something controversial and if not why?

It doesn't really shock me anymore, but I think it should go there. Even WWE kind of implies that m/m relationships are realistic. Look at Miz/Riley (the post-win hugs? c'mon!), or DX's bromance or why words like "Centon" & "Codiase" exist. And putting guys in ships that probably despised each other? Even better. I could go on and on.. like uh, Bret Hart/HBK. People wouldn't ship 'em unless they thought that there was something going on there.

I didn't mean to write an essay on this or anything. I guess I could go forever on this.

Sure, it is. But that's what I've heard from the WWE Universe. Young kids on facebook (male) saying homophobic things about them. I will say something to them that no matter what these guys do in bed, it doesn't take away from their abilities in the ring. I can definitely appreciate when guys are secure in their masculinity to do that.
