Several months had passed by since the last date of the Emily Sin tour. Matt and Jeff had left Jenn in a lonely and unloved state after their last conversation.
"What do you mean you won't be around? What's going on?!"
"Jenn, me and Jeff are going back to work soon and...when we do...we won't have time for a family."
"But..but I thought...I thought you've wanted a family for the past couple of years!? I mean, when you and Amy were still together you were planning it out! What happened? Wha--"
"Jenn, listen to me! I know it's not my child and I think Beth would be surprised to see me come home one day with one saying 'Hey, babe! Guess what? I made a baby without you!' That could destroy my relationship with her. And Matt...well, Matt's got a lot on his mind with his big comeback after everything that's gone on recently."
"Jeff!? How could you say that after you basically threw yourself at me when we first met?! Destroy your relationship. I...ugh. You...ah! I don't even--I don't even wanna look at you guys anymore!"
"But Jenn! You know I care about you and the baby!"
"I'm not as mad with you, Jeff, because I know it's not yours. It's Matt who I'm ashamed of even giving my virginity away to! ...How could you do this to me after you...you.."
"I what..?"
"After you said you wanted to spend your life with me?"
"I do! Jenn, I do! Nothing can hold us back from that!"
"But how can you say that and yet turn your back on me when you have a baby on the way and you won't even be there for the both of us!?"
"Jenn...I love you.."
"...Well I don't believe you do anymore."
That was the last time Matt and Jeff saw Jenn. She walked off into the darkness as they gathered their stuff and called a taxi to the airport.
Jeff had gone off to do a show for SmackDown as Matt stayed at home trying to workout and get himself back to what he use to be...but that night wouldn't stop playing in his head. He sat down on his couch with his dog, Lucas, sitting beside him, wondering what's going on with his daddy. Matt made a "thinking man" pose, but slowly placed his face in the palms of his hands and quietly sobbed as Lucas tried to lick his pain and sorrow away.
"I just can't do it...", he said to himself. "I need her...or else I can't function."
He leaned back onto his couch staring up at his ceiling. He watched memories of being with Jenn flash before his eyes, which made himself well up with tears, but also smile because of all the fun times they had together with Jeff.
"I'll never..", he thought before he heard a faint knock at his door.
He walked to the door as if he was on death row heading to the electric chair. He answered the door and saw what he didn't expect to see. It wasn't Jeff or anyone of his close friends or family members....it was Tony and Desiree. He stood there somberly staring into their eyes, knowing what they were going to say to him.
Desiree spoke first in a very low tone.
"Hi Matt.. Umm...is it alright if we...?"
Matt just nudged his head to signal that they could come inside.
Desiree and Tony just glanced at each other before entering his home.

"AHHHHHHHH!!!! OH GOD!!!!"
"It's alright, Miss. You're gonna be alright. Someone up her morphine, quick!"
"Owwww please? Help me..."
"Miss, we're trying to, but we need some info first. Start by telling us your name."
"It's Jenn, but who gives a fuck!!!! A person is trying to burst outta me! So either get them out or FUCK OFF!! ...I..I'm so sorry, I didn't know what--"
"It's okay. That's just the labor pains talking. Everything will be alright."
Jenn had just landed in Charlotte and was about to enter her taxi to get to Matt's house when she started to feel sharp pains in her abdominal area. She was going into labor...and fast. The taxi driver quickly knew what was going on and helped her into the car, quickly speeding off to the nearest hospital. Jenn had called Desiree and Tony, who were on the flight after her, to let them know what had happened and to tell Matt and Jeff. We now join her at Charlotte General Hospital in North Carolina.
"Doctor! Her heart rate's dropping fast!"
"Nurse, get her prepped for surgery."
"NO! ...I'm having this baby one way and one way only."
"Miss if you don't go through with the c-section, your body's gonna shut down and you'll die!"
"...But my baby will live?"
"Yes the baby will live. But-"
"Then let's try for a two-fer!"
"What? Miss-"
"It's MISSES Hardy to you! Now we're doing this either my way or no way at all. What's it gonna be?!"
The doctor and nurse stared at each other and nodded to let it go Jenn's way.
"Mrs. Hardy we need you to start pushing now! You've dilated far enough."
Jenn began pushing with the slight echoes of 'No fear' and 'Fear is only a four-letter word' going in and out of her mind. She would scream and push with all her might, not giving up or resting until her child was born.
"Mrs. Hardy, the head's completely out! Just a couple more pushes should do the trick."
She smiled at the doctor and did what he said, sweating, screaming, and pushing harder than before. Suddenly, she could hear loud footsteps running down the hall towards the room she was in. She knew right away who it was.
"JENN! Oh my god, baby! Why didn't you call m--"
"EXCUSE ME! THIS is a private room! You need to leave-"
"NO! ...That's my husband. Ahh!"
"Two more pushed Mrs. Hardy!"
The nurse trying to stop Matt stepped aside, slightly pissed about being wrong for yelling at him, letting Matt run to Jenn's side. Desiree and Tony followed behind and Jenn explained they were cleared to be in the room. Matt wiped the sweat and tears from her face as she delivered her final pushes. She let out one final scream and passed out, sounding the heart monitors off. Nurses ran to Jenn's side, shoving Matt away, and trying to bring her back. They were able to make her have a steady heartbeat...but she wasn't waking up. As the nurses walked away, the doctor was explaining everything that went on to Matt, Desiree, and Tony before he got there. Tears started to show in his eyes as he almost dropped to his knees. One of the young nurses that was in the room had just finished cleaning off and wrapping up the newborn baby. She was going to give the baby to Matt since Jenn was passed out. Desiree and Tony looked at each other and walked over to the nurse, whispering something into her ears. The nurse shook her head and walked over to Jenn's bedside, placing the baby next to Jenn so that the baby's head was next to her ear. The nurse then leaned down and gave a soft poke to the baby that was just enough to make it cry a little. Amazingly, that was enough to wake up Jenn from was thought to be an eternal slumber.
The nurse, Desiree, and Tony all smiled leaning down to Jenn and saying in unison, "Congratulations...it's a baby boy!"
Matt quickly snapped out of his trance and rushed to Jenn's side. He gave her a deep kiss at her first sight of him.
Jenn smiled and turned her head to see her baby boy's face. Like mother:like daughter, like father:like son, Aimee looks like Jenn, and the new baby boy looks like Matt.
Desiree ran out and quickly came back in with Aimee to see her new baby brother. Jenn could barely move, but she was able to hold Aimee close enough for them both to see the newborn. Matt also held onto Aimee as the newly-made family gazed at their newest member.
Matt leaned into Jenn and whispered, "Sweetie...what's with, Mrs. Hardy?"
Jenn shut her eyes and smiled. She opened them again and turned to meet his beautiful eyes. She simply said, "Well....what's wrong with Mrs. Hardy?" They both smiled widely and shared another kiss. Desiree, Tony,and the nurse all walked out of the room to give them more privacy, shutting the door behind them.
"So...what should we name him?"
"Well......I got to name Aimee when she was born. I think it's only right to let the father name his first son."
"I...I don't know.."
"Ha ha. It's okay, Matt. What name were you thinking of?"
"Uh....how about....Shane David?"
"That's a wonderful name, sweetheart. Shane David Hardy. ....I think Mr. Helms will be very proud of that!"
"Ha ha! I think so, too. And Kimo for using his real name."
"Yeah, that too! Ha ha!"
"...Jenn?"
"Yes...?"
"What's going to happen after all of this is done?"
"Well....the future can hold great things. ....And I can see LOTS of great things happening for and to us."
She smiled at Aimee and Matt as she felt Shane fidgeting in his blanket.
Jenn could feel a heavy sleep coming on and turned once more to see her baby boy before passing out once more. Matt pulled up a chair next to Jenn and Shane. He picked up Aimee and they both fell asleep in the chair, leaning towards each other, as the sun set through the window leaving a copper color within the room.
