(no subject)
Okay. I'm already on post #2 today, sad I know.
But. It's FLIPPING FREEZING in the office! 61 degress to be exact.
Neff Hall, where the Anthropology office is, never reaches a comfortable temperature. In the winter it's bloody hot, and in the summer, FREEZING. Yeesh. I'm not looking forward to working here this summer. There is nothing I hate MORE than being uncomfortably cold because of air conditioning. NOTHING.
Seriously. I HATE air conditioning. I hate it. I prefer windows down and/or a fan.
Speaking of Anthropology, there is a severe lack of communication between my boss and I. I am so awkward around co-workers anyway (I have a similar problem at Innovative), but we always have the funniest conversations because we can't hear each other.
I walked into the office today and hellos were made and I started towards my desk, when Dr. Moore-Jansen cornered me. Really close, and whispering:
MJ: I have a personal question for you.
Me: Uh...okay?
MJ: Did you c---- your hair?
Me: What? Did I comb my hair? (because it DOES look messy, I can't do it like Ben did and maybe he was trying to tell me I look like hell today)
MJ: Did you COLOR your hair?
Me: Oooh, yes I did.
And that's it! He didn't say anything after that. What the hell? No follow up. Weird. He didn't even lie and say "It looks nice." And WHY is that a personal question?! Haha. Man. Why are we so awkward?!?!
Another Innovative employee quit yesterday. Man oh man. So, I'm working there all day on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. I'll be making money anyway! And in the midst of Farah begging me to come in, I'm pretty sure I heard something about a raise. Hell yeah. So no complaints about it today.
