Really, Saffron had been rather anxious all day. She couldn't completely dismiss the idea that Professor Peregrine had just been pulling her leg and as soon as she stepped through the door the jig would be up and she would outed for the gullible sap she was. Granted, the professor was trustworthy, but Saffron wasn't feeling particularly trusting as of late - not that she ever was - and everything seemed to good to be true.
After seeing Jory off for his afternoon nap, Saffron slipped away to the fifth floor, greeting people here and there and attempting not to hug her books too nervously and not seem out of place. It wouldn't do to have someone watch where she was going, or get suspicious. After all, if this was real, no one could find out. And if it wasn't...well..no one could find out. Once having reached what she presumed to be the right door (what if he wasn't there at all? What if she had heard the wrong time, or the wrong date, and she would be late or entirely not present for her first training session to be an animagus! What if this was how her entire life would be?! Saffron was stressed, a lot.) she knocked gently and slowly pulled open the door, half expecting the room to be empty.
But ho, ho. It wasn't. In fact, it was occupied with both the man she had presumed and the very last person she had expected to be there. Phillip. Saffron practically thumped herself on the forehead for not having thought of Phillip; he was as wonderful at Transfiguration's as she was, of course Professor Peregrine would be training him too. Though she felt substantially closer to Phillip now, she cringed inwardly at the sight of him. Couldn't she be better than him at something? She would've taken anything.
"Professor," she greeted quietly, having grown a bit more docile in light of recent events. "Phillip," she added a moment later, not looking at him as she placed her books down on an empty table. "I thought I would make it seem like I had class...," she explained needlessly out of nervousness.

"And don't worry about the books," he nodded, understanding her reasoning. "There are actually quite a substantial number of book on transfiguration theory that might help you grasp the process on becoming an animagus, but I leave you two to read that at your own pace and in your own time."
"Today, before we begin, are there any questions either of you have for me?" he asked. "I don't expect either of you to turn into animagi today - that would be short of a miracle - but if you have any doubts or apprehensions about the process, it would be best to get them out of the way. Only when you're clear of mind and confident, then the process will take."

Of course, considering the last time they'd been alone, Phillip didn't have it in him to shoot any jabs her way. He was still worried about her and she was part of the reason he was even here in the first place. He slowly closed his mouth and gave her a silent nod when she greeted him, wearing a serious, though not unfriendly, sort of expression.
He quickly returned his attention to the professor, eager to begin. The one thing he could count on with it being Saffron was that she'd keep it secret. For all their squabbling, he'd trust her implicitly with a secret as important as this. However, at the mention of extra reading, he glanced over at her and wondered if she'd want to share the books and study together or not. Oh, well. Something to ask her later.
Phillip gave a sort of derisive snort at the comment about miracles. Of course they weren't going to manage it in a day, and Phillip always laughed at jokes, though a full peel of laughter didn't seem quite appropriate, given the circumstances. He thought for a moment, but couldn't come up with any doubts to discuss. He was much too eager; doubts were for later, if they got caught. Now it was time to just set to work.
