It’s a wedding that somehow straddles the line between intimate and raucous, with the entirety of the old Bartlet administration in attendance. It’s their own version of a high school reunion.
(And after the bride and groom are gone, and it’s only old friends, CJ does The Jackal. Still Shakespeare the way it’s meant to be done.)
They all dance, and Toby, his left hand shaking just a little, slides his arm around Andy’s waist, and she immediately turns into him, wrapping her arms around him as they sway, nuzzling his neck.
“I can’t believe we have a daughter-in-law,” she murmurs.
“We did so well with the first two that we’re just destined to parent all the world’s children,” he quips, stroking a hand down her back slowly.
(For Christmas that year, Huck and Lily give their parents picture frames with two photos each - one of their first dance, and one of their parents dancing. CJ is grinning as Danny kisses her knuckles, and Andy and Toby are lost in their embrace, foreheads bowed together, his hand splayed low across her back. Lily thinks those are even more romantic than the admittedly beautiful picture of her and her husband.)
