I knew the "vaccines cause autism" hypothesis has been pretty firmly disproved, but until now I didn't know that Dr. Andrew Wakefield, the doctor behind it all, had absolutely colossal undeclared conflicts of interest, was already making piles of money from trial lawyers for suggesting that the vaccines were dangerous, and would have made many times more money from a patent he had filed if his claims had been accepted.
