Time for an update....

Well its been a long time since I've updated....so here is what I've been up to lately....

School
School is going well so far. I can't believe this is my last real semester at WVU. I still have some classes this summer before I officially graduate but its deff. hard to believe it is almost over. I've started my rural rotation and so far it really isnt' that bad. I'm at Preston High School. At first I was suppose to go alone since Amanda had to make up Patho, but then I found out Erica could go with me so that made me happy. If Erica wasn't there I don't know what I would do all day. Our preceptor is really cool, but it would definently be boring if it were just me and her. Because I am in the rural rotation, all my classes are online except Research which is only on Mondays. I also have to go out to Preston Tuesdays and Wednesdays with Erica for our "clinical time." Clinical, hardly... I spend most of the day shooting the shit with the nurse and telling kids their is nothing wrong with them. I get an occasional cut that needs a band-aid or teacher who wants their blood pressure checked. I also have to go to Grafton on Fridays for an hour for these dumb meetings. We spend more time getting there and back than we do at the meeting. So stupid dumb.

Work
I started working at Mon General over Christmas break. It is ok so far, I float throughout the hospital to all the different units. Thursday is my last day of orientation and then I just have to sign up for two shifts a month. Its nice to have money again. :-D

Guard
The Gator Bowl ended my WVU guard career. At this point all I can say is good riddance. What might have been my most cherished memories were soured by a few selfish assholes who care more about their own pathetic existence than the lifes of the highly motivated and hard working. So long, farewell, auf weidersein, kiss my ass...

On a brighter note, Excel is off to a good start. We had a LAP (long ass practice) right after New Years and then this past weekend too. Last week was the preview show at Norwin and it went pretty damn well. The show is done we just have some tweaking and alot of cleaning to do. We have the Top Hats show this weekend at Valley then another LAP weekend and then the Dayton Regional. I am so excited! I'll get to see a whole bunch of CRCGers! GET IT!!!!

Teaching UHS is going well also. We are almost done with the show. I still have alot of work to do with the flagline but this is the farthest the group has ever been in January of an indoor season.

Life
I've been thinking alot about my life after graduation. I met with a recruiter from Pittsburgh's Children's Hospital yesterday and he told me I would basically have a job if I wanted it. Their PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) is in high need of RNs. He also told me I would be offered an $8K sign-on bonus. I would love to move to Pittsburgh. I still don't have concrete living arrangements yet for next year. I am waiting to hear from Danielle to sign the lease at Bon Vista. I think my best bet would prolly be living here in Morgantown until next May and then applying for Pittsburgh. A little experience in Peds here would prolly do me good.

No new developments in the love department either. I'm kinda just seeing what comes to me. But for right now, it looks like I am about to celebrate my 22nd consecutive Singles Awareness Day. Go me....

So, all in all things are going well. Oh! I almost forgot, I am actually going on Spring Break this year. I will be spending 4 days and 3 nights in LAS VEGAS with my beautiful nursing chicas Jorie and Kathy. I am so excited!!!!!!

Anyway, I need to go do some homework and then go to the gym.

Ciao!
