So I sit here in my office. This is my research month and as expected, it is basically sitting around waiting for others to do their part. Blah. I have done 1.5 days of work this week. I hate hate hate sitting here. I've been reading my hematopathology book to prepare for the next rotation but I would rather be working on my project. I just want this project to actually work (right now, I don't know if we will have enough subjects.. blagh). At least next month will be busy.
I've been running more. Last night, I ran about 2.5 to 3 miles at a decent pace and ended it by watching a bright red sunset while sitting in the grass by the stadium. I need to buy new running shoes though. Mine are 6 years old and I'm getting pains in my legs. Maybe I'll just ride my bike this weekend to take a break from running.
Oh yeah. I did get my Step 1 results back. I missed my goal by 3 freaking points (which really is within the standard error of the exam). It should be enough to get a good pathology or internal med residency (if I decide to do heme/onc instead of path) of my choice and enough to keep the door open for a competitive field like ENT. I can't slack on Step 2 though.
I've been searching for new music. Ben Folds has a new album in September. He also made a fake album to purposely leak online, which is awesome in my mind. The Verve is also coming out with a new album (remember the band in the mid 90s that was popular due to a song called "Bittersweet Symphony" and was then sued by the Rolling Stone's record label). I listened to all of it last night and it is very good, in my opinion.
The video game "Spore" looks like it will be released next month.. About damn time. I want. I am still working on beating the hard level of Guitar Hero for DS.
I'm tired of Morgantown. Nearly everyone cool has left
