Hello. I just joined this community. I had a stint at WVU back in 1999-2001. Back then I was undecided and kinda dabbled in everything. But I was an out-of-stater so it was getting to be too expensive to be undecided. Anyway, I went on to get an Associate's degree at a technical school and went to work in the real estate industry in Miami. I was doing pretty good; even with the bubble bursting and all. I was working in the accounting department and looking at finishing my degree at a school in Florida.
Well a change of plans was in order back in October when a car accident landed me in the hospital for a bit over 2 weeks :-( Because of my injuries (can't walk until January) I opted to head back to PA to have my family help me out. Nothing is wrong with my hands or my laptop though, so I figured I would at least apply back to WVU...and see what my options are there (also a few other schools).
Surprise, surprise, I got my re-admission notice last week. I have 78 credits (they didn't take the credits from my Associates degree), which is like a "junior and 1/2". Because my credits are all over the place, I'm opting for the Regents Bachelor of Arts degree and focus on taking courses that will prepare me for graduate programs in business (preferably accounting). Because of my temporary disability, I'll be taking classes online for now.
So although I'm not in Mo-town, I figured I would join anyway. I can only imagine how the place has changed since I've left (when I was on campus the last time, they were building the life sciences building). Since online classes are still a bit limited, perhaps I can shoot for being on campus in Fall of '08.
