(no subject)
hello and greetings from sunny loxton! has taken me a while to get online but here i am - working hard, happy as a little tomato, all grown un working full time and paying bills. he he he
loxton is great, my class are cool, the other staff at the school are fantastic and i am living with a really nice German girl. I have just set up my whole internet connection which was surprisingly easy - so now im online and in control. Its stinking hot up here in the riverland so i am just filling this in while i wait for Toni (another of the new teachers at L.P.S) to get her boat and children organised so we can head downt the river for some water skiing! I havent dont it before so it should be funny for everyone else!
Loxton seems to have everything i need, not that i have been out on the town much - in fact i have never worked so hard in my life! setting up a classroom from scratch is an amazing amount of work as well as planning lessons and moving house, staying on top of marking, going to meetings and teaching the kids!Im learning every day and exhausted every night but it seems to be paying off. I had my first ever parent teacher information evening on monday whihch was terrifying but i survived! Feedback was all really positive and i didnt cry and none of the parents cried, threw things or stormed out :) so there. i must be doing something right. looking foward to hollidays though! most of my weekends are spent on the computer planning or in the classroom organizing. it wont be like that for much longer though because ill get ontop of everything and the workload will decrease.
anyway. all is well.
