The show last night was GREAT! The last two shows have sucked majorly, so I'm so glad we're out of our bad streak. I think this may have been the first time we've done sketches! We did blackouts, as usual, and then Nick and Joe wrote 2 sketches! 3, actually, but the 3rd one has to be rewritten. So we did 2. I was in one of them.
We did a montage, which is good, because I like the freedom you get as opposed to a Harold. And you can get in there as much as you want. We've definitely been taking advantage of Tom's easygoingness and lack of cencorship. Last week's show was REEEEALLY dirty, so he finally made us promise to do a clean show. We did a (mostly) clean show, and it was actually funny!
Highlights...
We had this HILARIOUS opening that Andrew, Andy, and Joe came up with. I was literally crying the first time I saw it. Everyone was. Basically, Andy and Joe were playing guitar and singing...that one song...by Maroon 5 I think..."I don't mind spendin' every day out on your corner in the pouring rain..." and Andrew played teh bongos. Then he switched to guitar. It's SUCH a mellow song, and Andy and Joe were like harmonizing and all that. And Andrew just started rockin' out hard core. He even attacked the audience. It's MUCH funnier when you see it, but seriously, I was about to die it was so funny.
Joe starred in this really funny blackout about 3rd grade relationships. It ended with him screaming and crying like a girl, sucking his thumb reluctantly, and shouting, "WHAT WOULD CORY AND TOPANGA DO?!" Funny stuff.
There was an improv scene centered around me! Yay! Haha. Joe, Andy, and Andrew were like "go on stage next scene..." so I did, and Andrew said "Hey Angela! Come sit over here by me!" Joe said "No, I have a seat over here!" and Andy said "You can sit on my lap if you want!" It was a really funny scene.
Also, I did a scene with Nick where we were husband and wife and I was mad at him. He told me that his X girlfriend shot him in the arm and I told him I wasn't going to pay for the hospital bill. That merrited a laugh from Andrew, which is always appreciated. Sort of a slow scene, but it started out well.
Andy, Andrew, and Joe did a funny scene about kicking Andy out of a band. It was pretty hilarious. Those three, man, they have real chemistry. Haha.
It really was the boys night. The girls were kinda stuck in their shadow. But I actually did a pretty good job of getting in there a lot, and forcing myself upon the audience. YUSS. Haha.
Anyway, there was my long show review thingo. And sorry if you didn't understandany of that. But screw you, this is my lj!!
After the show, we all went out to dinner. JM and Christy came too, cuz they saw the show and I had to take them home. Dinner was a lot of fun. It was Joe's last night, which was sad. Tom's too, but he couldn't go to IHOP. Andrew payed me 5 bucks to eat a little piece of caulliflower that was COVERED in salt. And I did. IT WAS GROSS TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE. I will never be able to look at salt for as long as I live. But it was entertaining.
My sister wants to shoot me for having a livejournal. She says it's stupid and selfish and she will some day put a hit on everyone with one. But I told her I mostly go on it for communities (namely Rent), and she seemed to be ok with that. Hehe.
I have to work on Moulin Rouge more. And finish sprucing up my Rent fanfic. I must say, I'm really not to into it. That's ok, it was fun to write.
Alright, going now.
Goodbye my children
