Wow its been a while...
So a lot has changed since February for sure.
Finished my first year of college with a good GPA.
Had a pretty good summer:
- Got to hang out with old friends like we were never apart, which was great :)
- Randomly ran into an old friend and sparked a relationship, which resulted in the loss of another friendship. I'm still hoping and praying that can be fixed. But I won't go into that now; not the point of this entry.
- Fell in love.
Came back to CNU and am beginning my second year, still as a Theater major, Musical Theater concentration.
So the biggest thing for me these days is my relationship with Mr. Allen Warner White. I can honestly say that I have fallen in love with him. I kinda thought that I would never actually fall in love like this.. I mean, I think just about everybody was just as surprised as I was when they found out. I was always the independent, funny, entertaining Ashley that never really had boyfriends around and all that. I didnt have a problem with that tho, and especially once i got to college, i became ridiculously independent and didnt want a boyfriend. it took me a while to get rid of Miss Independent but i think its finally happened. I feel like I'm falling more and more in love with him every minute we spend together. Its crazy. So.. i could go on and on and on and on and on for days but I'll stop here for everyone's sake.
Jessica moved to blacksburg which is kinda sad. We havent been able to talk very much since I've been back at school cuz we're both so busy. but we always find some way to catch up every now and then. She is my big sissy :)
Mom moved from Lburg to Bedford the same weekend I moved back in to CNU. I absolutely love her new apt. Its the cutest thing I have ever seen! and she loves it too. She's working at the new Lowes on 460 now, in the appliance department. She likes that too but its really wearing her out, she is always always working. but at least she finally found a real job. since real estate wasnt doing crap. she's been dating a lot too.
Dad and Elaine are together at the moment. They've broken up a couple times. Elaine is definitely a dumb blonde and is very whiney, and a know-it-all, but at least she's normal. And kinda pretty haha. My dad is better off with her in some ways. I just wish she wouldnt smoke because its keeping dad from quitting, and its killing him since he has all that crap with his heart :-\ but thats their deal i guess.
Bubba is still living in mom's old house. He's dating Roxie, they've been together for about the same time as Allen and I, maybe a week or two longer. She moved in with him, and he bought her a $600 Yorkie. But apparently they've been having problems and she moved out recently? I dont really know whats up with that. But when my mom told me last week that they were having problems and Bubba was really upset about it, I decided to text him and just kinda see what was up and say hey, and i said "love ya" (we NEVER say i love you to eachother, much less talk at all). anyway, so he texted me back saying they were fine, and he said love you too.... i was pretty much floored. he texted me a few days later too, just to tell me about something, but he normally wouldnt give me the time of day so thats exciting. me and my brother have never had a good relationship so its cool when we actually get along :)
my roommate's Katie Germain, she was my suitemate last year. we get along really well and everything's been cool so far. :) i love our room this year. kinda sucks that we didnt get a kitchen but other than that its awesome.
amanda curcio is pretty much my best friend on campus. we're in band together and we live in the same building, just opposite wings. she frustrates me sometimes but its whatever, gotta deal. love her anyway.
megan and i ended our friendship at the beginning of spring semester, right after xmas break. then when band started back up this summer, we started talking more and decided to forget all the crap and just try to be friends again. so we talk sometimes and of course we're always making faces and laughing at all the crap like we used to. we have latin together again, so thats cool. less awkward this time around. so anyway, thats cool.
didnt get into a show this semester, which blows. but im not sure i would have the time for it anyway... my schedule, which i thought was going to be a little easy, has turned out to be ridiculously full. i am, however, working on I Hate Hamlet later in the semester. Just stage hand/props run but still excited about it.
finally got an appt for voice therapy with Ann Cyptar at Riverside. been trying since last fall. my vocal chords are the healthiest Dr. Sinacori had ever seen, but I apparently speak wrong? i always thought my voice was high-pitched and annoying, but he says i am speaking in the wrong pitch and that it needs to be higher. uh oh, i'ma be really annoying. so thats weird. oh well. as long as it gets fixed and it helps my voice. also, my TMJ is not too much fun. im feeling like my body is working against me here.
oh, my birthday was last weekend, the 13th. went home the night of the 12th and spent most of the weekend with Allen since his birthday was the next thursday, the 18th. Nell Enriquez, a photographer he knows, asked us to model for her for her professional portfolio so we did that on saturday. it was awesome. i havent seen all of the pictures yet, some are up on facebook, but all the ones i have seen so far are amazing. she said we were really professional and wants us to come back asap. all of her friends are asking if we're available and want our numbers haha so thats pretty awesome. i cant wait to do it again. my dad took me out to dinner, just me and him. i enjoyed that :) went to a party with allen and his friends. went to lunch with jess, nancy, and jimmie before heading back to school.
this past weekend, allen came here to CNU. i was so excited. went to the Yung Joc/Cartel/MC Lars concert friday night. it was kinda lame but oh well, it was only $16 for the two of us. saturday i marched in the Denbigh day parade while allen stayed here and slept. then went with some friends so they could get piercings. went to the fabric store to get stuff for toga-making. allen bought me the most amazing fabric EVER. came back and watched Madagascar, ate dinner, pregamed, and made our togas. Niki's Toga party ended up being kinda lame for us... I mean it wasnt really bad, there just werent as many people there as usual and we didnt stay that long anyway because Allen didnt feel well. came back and took care of Allen and slept. had brunch on sunday and then as he was about to leave, we decided to go to the beach. walked up and down the beach and on the strip. i forgot my camera, which i was really upset about, so we had to buy a disposable one. took pictures, which would have been cool had i showered and not looked like crap. oh well. fun times :) stopped at a Cool and Eclectic store on the way back, there was some awesome stuff in there. a little too expensive tho. came back and allen left. :( amazing weekend. i felt incredibly close to him while he was here this time... and it was after looking back on this weekend that i realized i am just falling more and more in love with him. there were so many times this weekend that i just had to stop and take in the moment and be like "wow i love him." and it was definitely a plus that all of my friends really liked him :) i wish he didnt have to leave. i just... i dont even know what im trying to say, i guess that i just absolutely love him. we have our little spats and arguments and misunderstandings, but we have really learned to work with eachother and understand eachother. we've come a long way. i, ashley renae earick, have fallen head over heels in love. :-D
so ANYWAY... thats a short rundown of my life at the moment. dont know what made me want to suddenly write in here, but it feels good to actually go back and write about everything that has happened over the past few months. who knows if i'll write again anytime soon. so for now, im doing pretty darn well :) hopefully that wont change.
