At Work Again
It's only 4:30 and it feels like we've been here all day long!!! We've been super busy with the books coming in and all. I did some new displays. Ms. Shannon and Pat came in. They were asking about why I was mad at Brittnie and I told them the condensed PG version. And I gave them both hugs. They didn't say anything about Adam but I know he's in town because I talked to him yesterday. He "misses" me. He called after I hung up on Brittnie.
I started a new book called Girl with a Pearl Earring. It's pretty good, the type of historical fiction that I like. I think it'll go on to have some romance in it. I can sense it.
I've drank three bottles of water so far today and could probably go on to drink three more! It's so hot here. Every time we get busy I have to start fanning myself and drinking the cold water like crazy so I don't get overheated. Who would have thought that working at a bookstore would make you overheated? In Louisiana, it is possible.
I still haven't begun my summer reading books, but I don't want to read them too early in the summer because I might forget them when school starts back. Plus, we might be on the block schedule this school year. That'll be pretty interesting, it being my senior year and all. And I have so many classes that I put on my schedule to just take up space that it'll probably be boring if I have to stay in them for 90 minutes! Like office worker, for instance!
I always get so prepared for school like I've waited all my life for the first day! Then two weeks into school, my notebooks look dishevled and my binders and sticky or falling apart. I already begin unloading things out of my booksack and resupply into a smaller container!
