between that and now finally hanging things on walls in my not-so-new-anymore-apt, i realized how much i really miss granny.

Thank you for your kind words about the post, I never felt I could say anything that really portrayed how she really was...did her justice. Years ago I had something written out and I lost the document file in a computer crash. I started writing this one a few days ago after I found the photo. I am very glad I have the photographs, I really should send this to my uncle incase he does not have a copy but I always worry I will bring things up and upset him :/

and your post was gorgeous, and definitely does your aunt justice. it's so beautiful, it gives me chills, it made me cry...it's really heartfelt, stunning, stunning writing. nothing i say can do it justice, and i realize it's very private, to, so let's leave it at that...

as for your uncle - well, maybe you;ll know the tight time, maybe there won't ever be one. it'll come to you, what to do. no regrets tho, whatever you decide.

and yeah, granny was a right little nutter, but boy was she a strong lady. as fucked up as she was, i look back on some things she did or said, and think wow, you know, maybe she had it right (er, sometimes). also she smelled like "white shoulders."
