I, Ib, looked at my timepiece. It was 7:30 AM. Thirty minutes had passed since 7:00 AM. This means that nothing happened in this amount of time. I sighed. Chester sat next to me in the vehicle. He did not sigh. He squinted straight ahead. He squinted thorugh the coffee steam as he held the cup, trembling, before his lips. His steady, Medusa-like squint pierced the steam and then traveled at high velocity through the windshield. I followed the vine of his eyes to the lovely grapes that purpled in his vision. He was watching a lone female human. She was round much like grapes. Squinting at females was something Chester enjoyed as a human male. It is an activity he engaged in often. Chester was never bored. At this moment I, Ib, was bored. So I watched with him. I watched as she withdrew from her jacket a small black object. We did not know what the object was. We did not know what was going to happen. I shrugged at myself. I wanted to freeze time but I also wanted it to move forward. I readjusted in my seat. The female rotated the object in her hands. Was it moving? I could feel the atmosphere changing. I think it was turning neon blue and possibly gaining velocity. Many ideas about the object were being stacked up in my head. I looked to Chester. He remained motionless unlike the object in the females hands which was defineately moving in some unspeakable multi-dimensional squirm.
"What do you think?" I asked.
Chester grunted. "I'm lookin at her ass. It's good." I suppose I would have agreed had I been a human male. For me I preferred skin of deep green and an orifice of light not of slime. Humans excrete slime constantly.
"I cannot stop looking at her hands." I said.
"Yeah. I noticed that too." Chester spoke softly and calmly. "What's in 'em?"
"I cannot yet tell. But that smell..."
"Eggs." He said. There was indeed a heavy stench about the vehicle.
Chester sucked loudly from the edge of the cup. The females hands were phasing out of space-time. A neon blue light was suddenly thrown over everything. "UH-OH." I said. I was about to lose the thread. My pyramid of ideas was quickly falling apart. "She is going to disappear" I said. It was the only thing I could think of. "There is no avoiding it." For a moment I could see into the mind of Chester. It was very gritty and silent. I saw him leap from the vehicle. In his mind he was no longer holding a cup of coffee. Instead he was holding his firearm. Also his hair was darker than it actually was. He sprinted to the female and tackled her to ground. A blink of blackness and they were naked. He was fiercely penetrating her from the rear. She was headless and handless. So much slime was coming out of her. Blood was everywhere. The Chester of Chesters mind is grinning. His usual steady gaze wobbles like flavorless jello. This continues for a few more seconds until the Chester of the mind climaxes at which point he places the firearm in his mouth and pulls the trigger. Until this event all was silent but the gunshot is thunderous and shakes me out of my vision. Chester laughs a single "Hm." The female is gone and my back hurts. She had distracted my thouhgts and sent me into some twisted part of Chesters subconscious mind.
I turned to Chester "What were you thinking about?"
"Nothin" He said smirking.
"Were you thinking of something horrible? About blood and slime?"
Chesters smirk increased and exposed his teeth in a gentle smile. "Slime? Yeah, I guess." He said. "I dont know why but my mind always has to go there." He took another piercing slurp of his coffee and finally set it down in the vehicles cupolders. "I'm not sick. Just my fantasies are. All these visions are always flying thorugh my head at random. Like, high speed random. Bouncing off of other images, sounds, the walls of my skull. Sometimes they form a little scene. I don't know why but usually I have to take it as far as it can go. For example this lady we're watching just now. As I stated she has a good ass. Naturally this leads to thoughts of intercourse. Thats all it takes really. Think about sex and the imagination just opens up."
"What made you think of it?"
Chester continued to gaze forward. 10,000 miles into the distance. His hands lay comfortably in his lap, fingers interlocked. The wrinkles seemed to melt together. "God, I guess. Something cosmic. Whatever force is out there in the 'Billions & Billions'."
I nodded, which is a gesture humans do when something is communicated successfully. It is also used as an affirmative response. Like when Chester suggested we go get some food. I nodded.
