Good News Everybody. :D (Pardon the TL:DR)

Alright... This may be a bit TL:DR, but this is something that needs a lot of backstory to explain, to get the sense of relief I feel. Tom, Emilia, and Sana all know most of the info, and Neo and Jime are both highly clued in...

Right. Here's the back-story: A while ago, I put a post explaining that I was currently in a hotel as I was, for the time, homeless. In fact, I still am in a hotel. This is not something neither me or my mother want at all. Hotels are not home: not enough rooms and too much for the rent. ($2500 for a week! Shiznizzle!)

So, we've been searching for a place for a good while. At this point, we've lost three apartments and two houses, and this isn't counting the places we checked out by decided not to look into. Due to reasons I would rather not disclose, we've not been able to get any of these places. At this point, I'm just getting more and more depressed, and mom's just down all the time. Then, last week, we had a good shot at a place.

Four apartment complexes, three in a row. According to the apartment guide, they also take dogs. And that's an important thing for us, as we have a little dog (Sandra), who's currently at my dad's until we get a place. I'm not sure if he'll keep her, if we can't take her ourselves, at this point.

The first can't take us until August 1, and is pretty expensive.

The second LIED about the "We take dogs" policy, and it turned out they didn't even allow twelve-pound elderly pugs. (What is she going to do? Cuddle you to death? DX )

The third rented it's last apartment, JUST BEFORE WE COULD DO THE PAPER WORK.

And the fourth... Apparently, there was a problem with our credit. Even offering to pay up the entire year in full, before we even came in, didn't settle things. So, we didn't get into that one.

What made this even worse? I found that about the last one after the weekend, after thinking for three days "Yay. I have a home."

BAM.

That sound just now was the sound of Misa's hopes, shattering on the ground. My confidence was shattered totally.

Today, when I got up, Mom wanted to go house-hunting again. At this point, I just had too many disappointments in a row, and I didn't want to go. However, she insisted, and forced me out of bed (bed... ;_;). We went to check one more place, called Fresh Ponds. It's away from the bus route, so I wasn't too eager to check it out until now.

We arrived, and Mom proceeded to take me to the leasing office/recreation center. It's a BEAUTIFUL place, with a massive recreation center (with intrabutt! and TV! and BOOKS!), a pool, and the option to get either furnished or unfurnished apartments. They accept dogs, and they are very large apartments! (Only odd thing I noticed is that the apartments also come with ODD EMPTY ROOM IN THE BACK OF THE BATHROOM. Strange room.) And, even if you get an unfurnished apartment, you get free stainless steel appliances!

And the next unfurnished apartment is not available until August 1.

Once again, I was downtrodded, and decided to angst over "Treasure Island", one of the books that are available in the rec room. Meanwhile, Mom is talking with the manager, who has just arrived, and making plans with her.

After a few, I head back to Mom. At this point, I find out the best news I've heard in a while... You know those furnished apartments I mentioned? Well, they have a furnished apartment available on July 7th, and, on August 1, we can switch over to an unfurnished for no charge.

That's right bitches! Misa is, officially, "Home-d!" In the words of Calumon (because, my babies, Misa watches the Digimon dub), "YAY ME! :D"

Oh, and additional note: I purchased Black Alchemy Phoenix Labs perfume. Which means, not only will I be "Home-d", but I will stink good too! :D

irl, yay!
