http://marvel.wikia.com/Kurt_Wagner_%28Earth-616%29.
CANON POINT: Uncanny X-Men 523, at the point where he finds out about X-Force
WORLD INFORMATION: Earth 616 is incredibly similar to our actually reality, in that geographically, everything is almost exactly the same, save for the extra country or islands that are present. Many historical figures, as well as present day politicians and celebrities are the same with a few additions. The world seems to follow the same kind of timeline as our own with current happenings also falling into Earth 616.
Although there are similarities, there are also differences. The events during World War II are some of the more noticeable ones, but one of the biggest, and perhaps most controversial, would be the existence of people carrying the X-gene, also known as mutants. These people are affected by the gene in different ways, some may have hidden abilities, whilst others may have to suffer from physical afflictions caused during birth or as the person grows up. Most of the time, someone with the X-gene will find out when they hit puberty as this is generally when their mutations develop and present themselves. Though there has been a few exceptions to the rule.
Being afraid of change, or of what you don't understand is something that is very much present in Earth 616 with most of the world seeming to openly hate mutants. Afraid of what they are capable of doing. This fear wasn't helped by the fact that not all mutants want to live in peace and co-existence, there are in fact groups that oppose that idea and believe that, Homo sapien superior, is just that, superior. They believe that they are above the human race. One such group would be the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants who resort to terrorist attacks and make their views perfectly clear, that mutants should be the superior race in all ways and rule over humans, failing that, that the humans should be wiped.
However, these attempts are often met with opposition by another group of mutants by the name of the X-Men. The X-Men were created by Professor Charles Xavier, mutants brought in, taught and trained in how to use their abilities at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Despite their continued effort to stave off any attacks against the human race by mutants that wish to harm it, they are still often seem in a negative light due to the powers they wield, but it isn't something that has put them off their original goal of the mutant race and humans living together.
Kurt finds himself affiliated with the X-Men, brought in by Charles Xavier himself after suffering at the hands of mutant hatred. Since then he has lived by Xavier's dream and done what he could in the hopes the world would become a much better place for all.
PERSONALITY: Thrill seeker, prankster, jokester - these describe Kurt to a T. Even in a fight, Kurt will crack jokes and try to lighten the situation without actually taking any of the seriousness from it. Though this has been known to backfire and it does get him into trouble on occasion, or even hurt. Kurt has a wicked sense of humour; he makes fun of himself or gently pokes fun at those he knows can take it and accept it, knowing that he doesn't actually mean any kind of harm. One example would be when he mentions going to see Star Wars and how half the cast look like his relations. Another would be shortly after he's joined the X-Men and after only a few days, he notes that they always seem to be crashing. To liven things up within the X-Men, he's started a set of challenges or bets with Wolverine and the prize is usually beer, though by Scott's last count, Kurt owed at least a truckload to Wolverine. Though as the years have passed, Kurt has appeared to have grown some., matured a little more and not just when the situation has called for it. This is possibly due to the fact that the world hasn't exactly changed very much in regards to mutants and the trials Kurt has had to go through. Despite this, Kurt still does have the jokester side to him, and will still let that side come out every so often.
He enjoys the feeling he gets when free falling or performing stunts and then defying gravity - showing he has a thrill seeker side. Despite how life at the circus, before the X-Men wasn't exactly the best of times, Kurt still enjoys performing and using the stunts he learned in sticky situations, such as times when he can't teleport.
Kurt loves pirates and swashbuckling, this is shown a lot more when he's accidentally transported to a different world thanks to Kitty's computer skills. He ends up on a floating pirate ship and becomes one of the crew, though even here in a different dimension he has to save the damsel in distress (even though he gets called a boggie). He gets to show off his swashbuckling skills against Shagreen the Sorcerer. As well as his love for both of these things, he's a movie lover, especially Errol Flynn and will adamantly state that anything made after him, isn't good or worth it.
In his younger days he used to be very self-conscious of the way he looked but over time, especially with the attention from the ladies, he's grown confident, sometimes even cocky in his attitude towards his own appearance. He will openly flirt with a girl he finds beautiful or interesting and become incredibly charming towards them. Sometimes, without even trying he walks away from a place with girls phone numbers. Apparently, chicks dig the blue fuzzy one. Even though he is religious, his attitude with women doesn't seem to bother him all that much and he likes the attention. He even states that if his image inducer were to stick on a holographic projection that it would be societies loss, losing such a handsome face. This confidence to walk around without his image inducer active was due to a bet he lost with Wolverine in which he had to walk around in public without it. He had been expecting taunts and jeers, to see fear but he only got curious looks his way.
He is loyal to the X-men and his friends. Feels compelled to help people no matter what the consequences are to himself; even if it means pissing off a crime lord, he'll try to help every last person hurt by them. Kurt considers some of the reasons to be very selfish and believes that no matter how bad things or people are, they can always change for the better. Sticks to most rules in that, even fighting a sworn enemy he's taken an oath of sorts not to kill.
Religious, Kurt has been a devout Catholic since he was a youngster, and believes that he has been blessed with both his powers as a mutant and his abilities. As well as being religious, Kurt has a dream dear to his heart; Professor Xavier's dream of mutant acceptance. He also believes that his religion, faith, allows him to be merciful even to those who may not deserve it.
CONDITIONAL - SUMMARY OF PREVIOUS RP DEVELOPMENT: N/A
POWERS / ABILITIES: Being a mutant, Kurt's ability is that he can teleport from one point to another. 2 miles is usually the limit to this ability, he can also bring passengers along, though the more people he 'ports, the bigger the strain on his body is. Kurt's eyes give him the ability to see in infra-red when lighting is low or non-existent. Due to his unique physiology, Kurt's spine is a lot more flexible than a normal persons, enabling him to perform greater acrobatic stunts or crouch for long periods of time without hurting.
His tail is prehensile, which allows him to carry objects with it, it's also strong enough to support his own weight and allow him to hang from it.
SAMPLES
FIRST PERSON:
[No, chances are you are not seeing things. There is in fact a blue elf coming across to everyone with a very, confused expression. Confused is a good way to describe, because if it wasn't confusion, it would be fury.]
I haven't been to England in a while, and my welcome wasn't quite like that if I'm actually remembering correctly.
Verdammt! I do not have time for this.
No doubt this is a long shot, and I'm fairly sure I can guess the answer, but is there perhaps a known way to get uh...back to where we were before? This isn't quite my version of things.
[Kurt keeps walking about and then the screen blanks out for a moment before flashing back with different scenery and then ends.]
THIRD PERSON: The day had been long, from an early morning straight through to late afternoon, and it wasn't even over yet. Kurt had run two different Danger Room sessions, one as a group and one solo after checking to make sure the schedule was clear. He felt as though he had to keep on top of things, his teamwork, which was incredibly important, but not only that, he had to keep his own personal growth going.
Kurt enjoyed the time he had to himself, where he could do what he wanted without the responsibility of students or a team. His time, and his alone. Or well, it would have been if Logan hadn't approached him during breakfast hours and told him that he owed him drinks and tonight he was collecting.
Tonight of all nights, all I want to do is get a shower and go to bed.
No such luck of course. The next two hours seemed to fly by and despite being dead on his feet, Kurt found himself at their usual bar in San Francisco, waiting for his friend to arrive, he's already gotten both of their drinks in.
It was nice to get away, even if you were tired. Nice to just sit back and talk with friends, it was something he felt didn't happen nearly as often as he wished it would. He missed it. Missed earlier years where things were much more simpler than they were now. But he wouldn't change it for the world.
