I have furiends who will be going to cons for the first time (namely AC) and would like advice on the vitals and other stuff to bring. Share your experience here.

Never-ever go back to someone's room for drinks. If someone starts touching you in the elevator and they look drunk press the alarm bell with whatever your holding to make it look like an accident- and get off on the next availible floor.
Do tell people no. I don't want to go back with you to your room for drawing or drinking, we can do that here in public. No I don't know you, I am not going to dinner with you.
Just because someone is friendly doesn't mean they aren't out to get you. Remain paranoid at all time.
NEVER go out on the street at night alone between hotels. Get a walking buddy.
Don't let people touch you or think you have to touch someone else to gain acceptance. A simple no thank you, saves everyone effort.
Do pretend to be sick. It will make people back off who cannot take a hint.
Talk really big about yourself and arrogantly, that will make you lots of friends. Even if what you are saying isn't true. These people are on the internet half the time they don't think, they react. Yay Americans.
Finally when it comes down to it you are not here to socialize. Bring a Gameboy DS or forever be out casted. You can only chat on the chartroom feature of those things.
OH and if you "Ghost" a con:Which means you attend, get group rate on a room and do not pay for a badge, we will hunt you down and kill you.
