Okay so today was not quite the best day ever so you all get to here about it.
Our story starts at around 3 AM this morning, I was driving Mattie home from Brian's house. Mattie was giving me instructions on how to get there, which seemed simple enough. We got there without a problem, and then something hit me: I wasn't paying nearly enough attention to make it back to Brian's house and the freeway, or to any place else that I could recognize. So I spent the next 20 minutes driving around, to where I found a large lake in an area quite originally named Lake City. After that I decided to turn around and drive down a different area, to which I hit a dead end at a Veteran's hosptial or cemetary or something, I didn't read it all before I decided again that I was going the wrong way. Sometime after that I magically found Gravelley Lake Dr and found my way to the on-ramp to the freeway. I got home at around 3:45 and fell asleep not long after.
Now lets move on to 6 AM, when I was scheduled to work today. Where was I at 6? Sleeping, that's where. When I had written down my schedule, I wrote 6 PM - 12 PM, when I was scheduled for the AM. At around 11:30 my sister came in my room telling me Best Buy left a message on the house phone, to which I was thoroughly confused. As soon as Kandace told me that I was supposed to be in at 6 AM I knew just what I had done; so like a hobo on a ham sandwhich, I jumped out of bed and into the shower. 6 or 7 seconds later I was out and getting dressed. I called Best Buy and explained what had happened. To my surprise my supervisor who I was talking to just sort of chuckled, told me it wasn't a problem, and told me to come in as soon as possible and start my shift from there. At this point I don my uniform, and jump in the car.
So now I'm blazing down the freeway at 75mph in the far left lane. About the time I hit the Bridgeport Way exit a cop comes flying behind me, sirens roaring. Now I'm swallowing my tongue, thinking "oh god not today". So I pull two lanes to the right, and once more to my surprise today, he drove right passed.
Work itself wasn't that bad. It was retardedly busy, but that's about it. The day actually started picking up after I got there. When I went to take my lunch and went to pull into the mall parking lot some nice guy actually stopped to let me through the myriad of cars. Lunch was yummy like always, I got an Enchilada from Taquira la Fiesta. Walking though the parking lot back to my car I stepped in what can only be described as a small ocean of rainwater, which sucked. I got in my car and went to join the fray of cars pulling out, and again some nice old lady stopped to let me through. So I got out at 6 PM, and without much trouble got on to the freeway. Boy howdy it was raining hard today. I was a bit concerned driving home, but I succeeded without any trouble at all.
Okay, so that's all my rantings for today. I have a busy week ahead of me with Christmas and all, so I will look forward to seeing you all at Brian's house on New Year's Eve! Until then
