history of Lego

There are actually a few interesting things that I took from this video, aside from a better understanding of the Lego company.

First off... Am I the only one who laughed at the sequence starting at 1:07? It's horrible that I did, since it's a sad thing, but come on! Perfect timing for a laugh!

All the voices of the women were not right. The mother sounds very young, and the girl sounds... Forced?

The narrator's voice was also... Wrong. He sounded too happy when he said 'But it did get worse. ;D' I could hear the emoticon, the tone of voice was just off.

The music... Okay, basically, I didn't really like anything about this. The animation wasn't great, but I can excuse that. This isn't pixar, after all! But everything just felt... Awkward. The characters don't really have any facial expressions, and everything moves at the same slow speed.

Also, the kid who's playing with the legos on the right when they take the picture that winds up on the cover of the boxes has a problem with his spine that he should go to the doctor about.

They tried, they really did. But when you compare it to a company that actually knows what it's doing, this just looks... Off.

I know that this is a whole OTHER kettle of worms, but not on the quality standpoint. This is well written and funny, even when a lot of the jokes play off of stereotypes and gender roles. They are dealing with Barbie, and they are limited by their existing property. I still haven't been able to write something good enough about this show, so... I'm aware of the flaws.

This is still a stronger final product than the lego story.
