Wrap party!

I had a great time! I got there at about ten past eight, or so, and they were just bringing the beer in from the fridge, IE the roof outside. It was perfect timing, I got the first one. It was a Stella! How nice for it not to be like, Bud or Molson* or something. Then I walked into the studio, where they had cleared a large space by pushing all the desks back against the wall. I kidded around with a couple of co-workers about being 'wall flowers', because they were sitting in chairs by the wall, and then went to have a CAKE POP. It was fantastic!

Also, I got the first one off of that table too! The only thing I didn't break the ice with was the karaoke machine, that was Martin.

You had better believe it though, I karaoked my heart out after. Even when the first song I did by myself, The Saga Begins, was so badly off that I was basically just singing it from memory.

I also did cake, short skirt long jacket, the Time Warp, and the MIA paper planes song. As soon as Paper Planes started, a bunch of people came over to sing with me, it was pretty funny.

We also sang the YMCA, and everyone did the actions!

I also mingled and chatted with people, and found out that we're mostly all in the same 'looking for freelance/a job' boat. By about oh... Eleven or so, the studio had really cleared out. Which was unfortunate, but oh well! I wound up staying and singing until about one, and then we all hustled out of the studio by about twenty after one, made it to the subway before the last train, made it to the other line before that last train, and made it home at about two AM.

I owe marii_chan a token.

And that was my night! It was great fun. I have to go karaoke again somewhere they have more than ONE beatles song. Or meatloaf song. Or Queen song. And like, twenty Beiber songs. WTF?

*Seriously, 'Molson' wasn't in the CANADIAN English dictionary. That, my dear firefox friends, is a fail.

party, karaoke
