Because that is the most classic sewing material ever. EVER.

Moving on.

This is where my sewing machine lived. Appa and Quinzel the caribou kept me company.

I had my paper patterns that I had drawn the right size and then photocopied, so I pinned those down to my fabric and went to town. I sewed the buildings onto the night sky background first,

and then the snow on.

Let it be known that I zigzagged around *everything* I put on here at least twice, once with a fairly tight zigzag, and once with a wider one. This will hopefully fuse the entire thing together into one piece forever.

I wound up going around the buildings again, since I was too close to the edge of the building fabric, and it was just fraying away. I hope I solved that problem by going over it the second time, but time will tell.

I also ran out of thread zigzagging around the buildings, which sucked a lot since I don't have a car, I didn't have a bus pass, and I couldn't really afford to take transit for one spool of thread, so I had to walk to Fabricland. And then I was stupid and didn't write down the colour number, so I picked up one that was ONE OFF of what I needed. And it was so incredibly noticeable when I tried to use it that I had to go back and buy the right one. AGAIN.
