Since today was apparently
Towel Day, a day in which we celebrate the work of Douglas Adams by proudly carrying a towel, I decided to give it a go. After talking myself into walking through the streets of Toronto, carrying one of my two towels.
I had some errands to run, which included going into a grocery store, a book store, and a mall. No one even looked twice at me, carrying a towel, even though it was an hour walk each way, and for about half way there I had it slung over my shoulder.
It made me smile.
I figured I should buy a copy of Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, so I went into the used book store to inquire. I was going to pass it by, since I don't need another book, but they were having a 20% off sale!
The sales guy showed me two copies, one of which was the radio plays. So I got the book one, and the we discussed Douglas Adams. I told him it was towel day, and he seemed sad that he hadn't known in advance! As I went to leave, he called out 'Don't forget your towel!' I held it up and said "It's right here!" and grinned as I left.
Maybe next year, he will also know where his towel is.
We also made
this dill chicken recipe tonight, which was good. And now I have so much dill in the fridge, SO MUCH DILL. What can I make, besides pickles? I don't have the room to store the resulting jars!
I'm thinking of getting
sajex's grandmother's dill soup recipe. :D
