Last night...

Or really, yesterday. marii_chan had a japanese class in the morning, and on the way back, she bought a day transit pass. What should we do? Where should we go? We have to go *somewhere*, right??

So we went to Pacific Mall, for frozen yoghurt. That's right. We took a nearly two hour transit journey out, and hour and ten minutes journey back for pretty much just yoghurt. It was really good though!!

On the way back, we picked up some butter and white chocolate chips, so we could make another batch of whities. These had slightly less chocolate in them, and marii_chan stirred them to get lots of air in there, so they were slightly less dense. Then we headed over to a friend of a friend's place (for me, but one of marii_chan's friends) for a birthday party. Turned out to be the first one the birthday girl had had since she was two!!

There was so much food... It was awesome. I think people liked our whities. n__n We talked to people for a few hours, and then Rock Band came out. I know how Rock Band can kill some parties, but I think we all had fun playing it. The instruments were handed off as often as people would take them, and singing Beatles songs is always fun.

AND THAT OPENING CINEMATIC. Here. Have it. If you haven't seen it yet.

Blows my mind. It was a little odd though, I don't think that there were any references to the Yellow Submarine film style. We never got to play Yellow Submarine (d'oh!) but we played Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Baaaa-aaaand.

I also got a hundred percent singing on one song, and M (girl who's AWESOME apartment we were at - seriously, this place made me so envious) also got a hundred percent singing. Together? We got fifty. But that's because without having the mic up to one person's mouth, it just doesn't really pick up the singing. :(

We got to stay out super late last night, because it was Nuit Blanche, which next year I'm going to have to check out. It was such a treat to be able to stay out as long as we wanted, and know that we could still get home.

Hm. Sometimes people with personal transportation just don't know how lucky they have it. *shrug*

My most pretentious icon because there was some kind of reassuring news at the party, too. Everyone there, pretty much, worked in the industry. One of the girls was from the first graduating class of the BAAA program, and she said that even though critics panned their industry day final films, they *all* got jobs anyway. So it's not that I'm unemployable, it's just that this time sucks.

Which makes me feel a little bit more like I could get into this industry, if I was not GRADUATING AT A TIME WHEN SOME GODDAMNED IDIOT SCREWED UP THE ECONOMY FOR EVERYONE SO NOW I HAVE TO WASTE TIME THAT SHOULD BE SPENT AT A REAL JOB SITTING HERE NOT WORKING ON SOMETHING THAT I LOVE.

I heard that one of the guys responsible for this ponzi scheme had two options - jail or walking home alone.

I'm sure that would never actually be said, and I know that he wasn't the only one responsible for this stupid situation, but man. I really hope all the people in charge FEEL BAD about how they're affected the entire world.
