Y'know, that is a perfect look into that scene, and I do say perfect---especially since I keep re-watching that kiss over and over again, thinking to myself, "He kissed her back! Sort of, but hey, for those seconds that he DIDN'T push her away, what was he thinking?"

He DOES kiss her back for a few seconds (the best few seconds of my existence)!! Great work. The whole thing, but especially this bit:

And then he realises his hands are just kind of floating there, and he knows he’s supposed to do something with them, like run them through that fiery ginger hair of hers or grab her bum and pull her closer or-- no. No, no, no, this is bad, so bad, very bad and he has to stop this before it gets out of hand.

Wonderful! This is so totally what he thought right then. You’ve really noticed all the nuances of the scene. I love that his mind goes blank and he doesn’t know what to do!

And I just totally imagine the Time Lords as an almost sexually-repressed race; I think I remember reading somewhere that they were all about knowledge... or something. It seemed to fit. XD
