movie on Friday in Elmwood?

My mom's friend's son wrote a movie that is showing in Berkeley on Friday. I don't know much about it, but it did sell out on its premiere dates in LA this month.

It's playing at Elmwood Theater in Berkeley on Friday. I'm not convinced I will go, but would be inspired if others are interested. Anyone?
