CSA Thursday - Week One
Last year I stopped recording after a while, but I'm hoping to be better about blogging something, at least, so this is a good place to start. New CSA for us this year and it's so much nicer than last year! It's actually organized and everything is picked for you and washed and pre bundled/bagged as appropriate.
This week we got:
1 dozen eggs
1 large bag garlic scapes
1 small bag sugar snap peas
3 heads of green garlic (plus a bunch in the extras area, so I took 2 more)
1 bunch of mustard greens
1 bunch of spinach
2 heads of lettuce (we picked butter and red curly)
1 bunch of radishes
1 bunch of asparagus
We had the asparagus sauteed with some garlic scapes last night for dinner and it was fabulous!
There's also a large herb garden where you can pick your own each week (or anytime) but it was pouring so I didn't get any this week. They also have goats and chickens that people are welcome to come visit any time during the week.
