Just some icons/banners. This is my first post of my graphics ever,but Twin said I should awhile back and I am just now taking the initiative. You can use whatever you want, but crediting would be nice, but is not needed.

you know how your meant to be stalking me? Im wondering why some of your icons look like they have been squashed...?Not that they arnt good but its noticeable

Some of them are, which are probably the ones I did the other day. I'm trying to get how to cut the bigger picture down without actually killing the quality of the icon... and some of them are a fail. O.o

perhaps the pertinent question (look at me sound like Maura :P) is what program are you using to make them?

That would be Photoshop CS5 Extended. (which I am fairly new/horrible/a virgin at using when it comes to icons or much else besides my banners.)

I use CS3 for all my stuff but its pretty much the same, you go to image, image size and then change it to whatever, most depending on the crop you want will take 100 x 100 however if you want a closer crop 200 x 200 pixels + will do it. Its all about having an eye for what you are doing and practice, practice practice! you seem to have negitive space down ok, I save my PSD files for the hard ones that I do, pick a few icons that you see on my LJ and bug me to see if I kept the PSD, that way you can see how I do things and get a bit of an idea.

You are some sort of amazing. I think part of my problem is that I've been cropping some pictures and then using the image size on them. You can ship anything my way that you want too, I'm not picky when it comes to help. I think I have the most problem getting close ups when it comes to have more than one person in the icon.

Or just, actually, close ups in general.

It's all about the eye and what you see. Got an email addy I can flick them to? Twill be a mixture of R and I, Sanctuary and some Gray's Anatomy (Brooke Smith) stuff plus whatever else I can scrounge up :)Start looking on Deviantart for textures that appeal to you and make yourself a folder of them.
