weekend
Had a great weekend.
Jason and i don't get to see each other much during the week right now. (i work 8am-4pm and he works 3pm-12midnight) So there are only a few mins at night and in the morning we see each other (talk before falling asleep or leaving for work). This past weekend was the first one we had nothing required of us. no weddings, no baby showers, no sca or carps or anything. So we went saturday to Uncle Johns Cider mill. They have a wonderful wine tasting room. We went there first (so we could walk off any buzz afterwards). They had some wonderful wines and we got several (fine we got a whole case but it was 15% off if you got a case and the 1/2 gal ciders counted towards the case) Also got a very nice wine rack that is wall mounted and holds 4 wine bottles along with 4 glasses. Anyway after putting those in the car we headed over to the corn maze and pumpkin patch. The corn maze was fun. Though many people had cheated and created paths where there wasn't supposed to be one. We only used the real paths. It was fun. Someone had changed a map or two in the maze. We figured it out, but others i'm sure had less luck with it. After that we went into the pumpkin patch and walked around. I'm not usally a big pumpkin person so mainly we were looking for a small one for jason's neice. The I could paint up for her. Ended up getting one out of the already picked bins. Along with 3 gourds. I don't know what it is about them, but i really like the little gourds. So we droped those off in the car and went to the buildings there where they sell cider, donuts and other yummies. I picked up a couple drop cookie mixes. Will have to try them soon. Also some cookies and cider. We had to go to the actualy cider mill to get the donuts. They had some interesting flavors, buttermilk,pumpkin,cider and a 4th i can't remember. Quite good. (we didn't eat them till sunday though) Anyway after that we headed to dinner. We went to claudagh (sp?) and i had my usaual and jason had fish and chips. I got there hogarden (sp?) but it was a bit off. which was slightly disappointing, but we still had plently of wine that we could have at home. Then we went home and had a cozy night on the couch till time to crash.
Sunday we went and got fish for our fish tank. We also found out you are only supposed to get a max of 6 fish at a time. 4 is better, but they said since we were getting pack fish it should be ok. Though we really went there to get 10 or so. So we'll just have to go back in a couple weeks to get the others. It was funny when we got home and put them in the tank. We tried to show them to the cats, but only moxey saw them. Kizmet is still scared of the tank itself so we didn't have much luck with him. Moxey saw them but got bored as soon as she noticed that she could get them. So after watching the fish a bit jason and i sat on the couch awhile till it was time to go to the quiality 16 movie theather. We went and saw "open Season" it was quite funny and cute. All i have to say is McSquilley clan! you'll understand if you see it. After that we ran past meijer after realizing we didn't have any fish food. (we thought we did but forgot we had given it to my mom when we moved since we didn't have a tank at that time and she does) Then dinner at outback. And dessert at Cold Stone. Jason had a wonderful thing called "cherry loves cheesecake". Cheese cake ice cream with choco chips and black cherries mixed in. I had the "oh Fudge" shake with alittle mocha ice cream in it. Quite yummy. We them came home, fed the fish and watched another movie till time for bed.
All in all a wonderful weekend. :)
