100 Feet (2008)
For the most part, I could excuse everything in this movie with something like 'I don't even care, Famke Janssen is in this'. It's true that she is, it's true that she's goddamn amazing and it's true that she's probably the only reason you should need to see it.
Aside from that, though, the storyline is decent, the characters are... no, I can't do that. The characters are crap, even Famke's character is bullshit. The only character I liked was her sassy prison friend she was on the phone with for that one scene. But like I said, the storyline is decent. It's an interesting concept and well played out for what it is so I really can't complain about that part of it. She's a battered woman, convicted for killing her bastard cop husband and she's on house arrest. Aside from the fact that the writers seemed to conveniently forget about the name of the movie and made it more like "20 - 30 feet depending on how we feel about the scene", it's not bad at all.

The ghost is creepy, the scenes with him are creepy and I was actually startled on a number of occasions. I think that was what they were going for, and they managed to do it. There's one scene, however, that involves the new lover Joey and the ghost, after having watched them have sex, murders the shit out of him. I haven't seen a guy murdered that much in a long time. It was so over the top, it was almost comical, except that it FUCKING WASN'T and it was REALLY DISGUSTING. dracoslovebunny and I both were kind of pushed back in our seats, turned away a little and gaping at the TV. It was awesome and awful and it was so incredible, I have to recommend this movie to everyone.
So, in short, see it for Famke. Also see it for Joey's death.
