hahaha. Yeah. I’m in a rant-mood today. It shouldn’t even really bother me that some people seem to be so lazy when it comes to making icons, but right now it does. They see a nice icon and want to know how it’s done. They get what they want, follow the steps, and have their pretty icon. Great for them, some one would say. But would they be able to make their own unique icon/graphic from what they have learned? Likely not. And those folks end up spamming up peoples’ f-lists, by asking questions and posting about ps-problems that would be insanely easy to solve… had they actually learned something in the billion tus they’ve participated in. *headdesk* I understand that not everybody has the time to go through long tutorials, but if they’d invest a bit of time once or twice, they’d not have to struggle their way through their complex software as they seem to.
And I’m one who needs detailed descriptions, too. It wasn’t all too long ago that I was fumbling my way through Photoshop myself, and I even tried to follow some of the tutorials I saw here at LJ. None of them were really useful, so I googled instead. =P And yes. I saved a tutorial or two to my computer so I could practice. It takes a little while that way (lots of reading to do, hehe) but at least I know what I’m doing now. ^_^
