they refer to him as the blue spirit in the movie why in the world would they change it to blue devil now seriously

Ringer also says in the EW interview that he thinks A:TLA is a fun anime show. So, yeah. I question it too.

Well, he's a 12-year-old kid. It's possible that he thinks of anime more in terms of a cartoon style as opposed to a cartoon that comes from Japan.

Yeah, you're right, that may be it.

I still question how much of a fan of the series he really was though. I feel like all of the actors were told to say they were fans of the show for appearances. But admittedly I'm cynical about every part of this movie and its making.
