this is where one of TLA's colossal fuck-ups truly comes to light. watching this, it becomes immediately apparent that not only is noah ringer a great kid in general, but he is literally JUST LIKE AANG, in both looks AND personality. the real noah ringer is happy, energetic, and fun-loving, just like aang. cut to 3:47 and tell me you don't immediately hear "did i mention i'm an incurable prankster?" in your head. it really is like watching aang walk around in real life.

and what did shyamalan do with that? he sucked the life out of it. he took this bright, mischievous child playing a bright, mischievous character and glued a permanent frown on his face. he took all of the smiles and laughter and replaced them with doom and gloom and INTENSE DARK EDGY SERIOUS BUSINESS. TLA would've been more faithful to the original if they'd just given noah a camcorder and let him talk for an hour and a half.
