I'm 100% convinced that god was smoking dope and watching Pink Floyd's "The Wall" when he created that thing.

If he was smoking dope when he made that, I'm pretty sure any sort of creator god was dropping acid when he made the mandarin goby.

I like the goby! I think the clown triggerfish is much more odd.

I like him, too! Doesn't mean he's any less fucked up. That's what makes marine fish so damn awesome.

Those are both such beautiful fish! I especially love the goby. I want one, in fact! It would greatly cheer me up even on the crappiest of days to see such a trippy, pretty little fish.

I may be ditching the birds to be a marine biologist now. :p

Hee. I want one, too, but I don't have the time, space, or money for a marine tank. D:

Mandarin dragonets can be really hard to keep, though, 'cause some won't acclimatize to the tanks, or simply won't eat anything but what they'd get in the wild. You have to have a really, really highly fed tank with lots of copepods and amphipods to keep one of the flamboyant little bastards alive. But some will take frozen stuff, so it all depends on the fish you get. x_x They're really docile, though, and the only way you'll really get any confrontations that it starts are if you have two males.

I haven't got the time, space or money for a marine tank either. I'm doing well just to have a wee betta bowl in my dorm room. But that's such an interesting thing to contemplate for the future--I desperately want a great big fish tank when I have a place of my own, and a wide variety of the little beauties. I know some people say that fish are boring, but I just love them. They move so beautifully, don't they?

Yis! I love my fishies. :3 Especially my beautiful albino senegal bichir. He looks like a cross between an eel, a snake, and a Chinese dragon. :D

You are clearly made of awesomeness. (Aside from the fact that you are also a Nicky/Nicki/Nikki!) What sorts of fishies do you have? I googled your pale beauty to see what kind of fishy he was, and wow, he's a darling, isn't he? I do so love unusual-looking fishies. My most recent companion was a beautiful sunny orange-yellow betta named Apollo. Sadly, he is now deceased, but he was such a sunnyfish to have around. :)

I've got my albino pretty, a small palmas bichir, a pleco (who's as big as a damned baby alligator), and a spotted raphael catfish.

Draco, Cricket/Little Girl, Bubba, and Slippy, respectively.
