So we all know that some reptiles and amphibians and most crustaceans can regrow torn or missing tails and other body parts, right?

But have you heard of a mammal having easily torn skin that can regrow without scarring?

These guys can lose up to 60% of the skin on their backs to escape predators and regrow it, so naturally, the medical field is having a field day to see if there's a way to translate that ability for human benefit.
