I love you for this. This is one of my favorite things about this series.

(Though, minor nitpick-Golduck is probably meant to be a kappa rather than a platypus, although Psyduck could definitely go both ways. As a rule of thumb, if it's not an identifiable animal it's probably related to Japanese folklore in some way.)

Kappa are usually depicted as primarily reptilian or amphibian, and especially noted as having turtle shells.

I'm sure Golduck is intended to be kappa-like, but it's a kappa-like platypus :)
