It's Native to South Africa, but has been naturalized in Cook Islands, South America, and Hawaii. It grows to six foot tall. When the seed pods matures in the heat of summer, it blows up and white stuffs comes out. Although, native to South Africa, Monarch butterflies loves them. The flower nectar is a nourishment for the butterfly, while the vegetation is a favorite of the caterpillars.
